Insurance Claim

Claim Qualification:

▪ The Policy must be in effect on the date a claim is submitted. We must receive the claim within 1 year of the date the insured person is diagnosed with a covered critical illness.
▪ The diagnosis and treatment for any covered critical illness must be made by a specialist. The written diagnosis must:
Include appropriate information to access the covered critical illness, and
Be prepared and signed by a specialist licensed and practising in Canada or the United States or another physician acceptable to us.
▪ The insured person must survive for the SURVIVAL PERIOD after being diagnosed with some kinds of illnesses before making a claim.
▪ If an illness develops or is diagnosed while outside of Canada or the United States
If the medical records of the insured person are not in French or English, you must provide the original records along with a translation.

Paying benefit :

Critical Illness Insurance provides a tax-free lump sum benefit. You don’t need to provide any receipt. The insured person is free to spend the benefit any way.
